What You Really, Really Want

I'm going to have a contest.

My camera is 300 miles away right now so I can't show you a picture of the prizes.

We will do the contest starting Friday.

Tell me what you want for Christmas. Forget the politically correct, and selfless acts of virtue. Tell me what you really, really want. What's your deep, dark, totally selfish desire?

If your favorite someone could give you anything in the world, what would it be?

And if you want to up your chances on getting said gift, leave the comment box to this blog open on your computer. Who knows? Maybe Santa will take a hint.

I would love a day. Just one day that my family and I could have together without the computer, without a telephone or errands to run. Something that we wouldn't have to think too hard about.

You'd think that would be an easy one to do, but it's been pretty tough lately.

Happy holidays sweetie!

A Christmas weekend by myself in a small pub with good food, great beer, a log fire, and the spray of the sea beating against a strong glass window. I'd also have two books - a kindle would do - and a laptop should the muse prove uppity.

Either that or another American holiday

Merry Christmas, JK!!
It is hard to find those quiet moments, especially nowadays when we're surrounded by so many distractions.

At my house, we have what we call a "bum day". I know, not politically correct, but that's what we've always called it.

On bum day, we turn off the phones, shut down the computer, draw all the curtains and snuggle together while we watch our favorite movies and snack on our favorite munchies. Heaven!

I hope you get your wish this year, sweetie. You deserve it! I know you've worked so hard this year.

Merry Christmas, Mike!

Don't we have enough holidays? Or are you thinking specifically of drinking holidays? LOL!

May the Big Jolly Guy grant your wish. I'm sure you've been a good boy this year.

I'd love a trip to Europe. Not likely to happen anytime soon, but dreams are good.

Merry Christmas, Stephanie!

From your lips to God's ear. I hope you get your trip soon.

My most selfish desire would be to have a weekend writing/reading with no interruptions and no reponsibilities ;)

I've been trying to get everything ready for Christmas this week, so next week when my kids are out of school, we can have several bum days and just hang out and do whatever.

Merry Christmas, Heather! I hear you on the bum days. We have a little party this weekend with friends, but after that, it'll be just me and him. Hope he doesn't get tired of me.

I hope you get your wish!

I really, really want to live back out west. Can Santa help with relocation?

If not, I'd settle for an eReader.

LOL, Marianne! I'll see if I can drop him a hint. Where out west do you want to move?
