Spring Was Having Technical Difficulties

I meant to post yesterday but I've been running around like headless poultry. I haven't even had time to visit blogs. --sorry. I will catch up.

Sunday morning I woke up to this. Snow--on the first day of Spring.

Yet all that snow disappeared before I went to bed that night.

The Friday before we had lovely spring weather and we filled the bird feeder to the brim. Nobody came to lunch. Nobody!

Humph! Ingrates.

Sunday comes and we get a freak snowstorm. Who's your favorite friend now, huh, birdies?

Yeah, that's what I thought.

Obviously, they're only interested in my niblets when the weather is bad. The rest of the time they're off making baby birdies. Yeah, I heard you out there. Don't think I don't know what you were doing up in those trees.

Sheesh. I hate it when my neighbors get more sex than I do.

Oh, and Tuesday, it'll be 78 degrees.

Come to Texas. We have all kinds of weather here. Morning, noon and night.

I think you've had more snow there than we've had all winter here! Our weather's all over the map too these days. 70s this weekend, 40s and rainy now. A bit fickle, I guess!

The weather is so crazy this year. I think we had the worse, snow, cold, etc. February ever on record!
Hurry spring, hurry!

I didn't even know it EVER snowed in Texas! I'm heading up to Scotland next week where I'm expecting A GOOD SIX INCHES(yes...it's still National Double Entendre Week here in the UK)

Uhm, don't want to bother you, but I guess it is a good thing that the birds did not come around to feed when there was no snow. We were taught you only feed birds if the snow covers the whole ground, otherwise you'll have sick birds hovering in your garden, staying alive on your food and infecting all the other birds.

(I know this sounds cruel, but it makes sense.)

Joanne: I know. It's unreal. To be fair, even with the snow, it hasn't been that cold, so I'm grateful. But I'm ready for spring.

Kaye: Where are you at? It's been wacky everywhere. I wonder if the weather people are blaming this on El Nino too.

Brokenbiro: Texas is a BIG state. It snows in the panhandle, but we are too far from that. On any given year we can expect one or two days of icy roads and that's it. This year has surprised us.

Ref: six inches in Scotland.
Woman, I hope you'll get a handle on it while you're there.

LOL!

Everyone: Be sure to visit Brokenbiro's blog. She has a GREAT post on double entendres.

Diandra: I have a big bag of seed that I was trying to empty before the end of the year. I wasn't planning on feed them all year. I don't run a welfare homestead. LOL!

But with the weird weather, the usual food supply for them has been scarce. They're on their own after this one goes empty.

I can't believe you guys got snow right after Spring-like temperatures. I sure hope the snow stay away from us since it's been known to snow in April here.

Have a good Tuesday.

LOL.. it's not even snowing here and I'm practically in Canada!

This puzzles me, as I feed birds year round and don't have sick birds... wondering...hmmm...

Happy, uh, Spring?

Dru: I think Mother Nature has it in for me. LOL.

It caught me off guard last year when we had a sudden drop in temperature right after I put in the garden, but this year I waited.

Then I stuck my tongue out at Ma Nature.

Marianne: Well, it's almost 60 now and it plans to go up to 78.

I don't think it know what season it wants to be in.

Ref: feeding birds
My neighbors feed the birds year round too. But I wasn't planning on it. There's plenty to eat once it greens up more.
