What Bebe Wants, Bebe Gets

One of the programs we used to watch regularly was Frasier with Kelsey Grammer. During the course of the series, Frasier ends up with Bebe Glazer as his talent agent.

Her catchphrase was: What Bebe wants, Bebe gets.

Texas native, Harriet Sansom Harris played Bebe Glazer, and we roared whenever she was on. I still think she's one of the funniest and best actresses around. Her voice, her timing, and her over the top persona nailed this character.

Greg and I were talking about the series recently and he said, you need an agent like Bebe.

LOL! Heck, yeah.

This is my favorite episode shown in three parts on YouTube.

Here are parts two and three. (Hint: go to time stamp 6:22 on part three for the show stopper.)

And one of my favorite quotes.

Frasier: What kind of a woman are you? You seduced me, you lied to me, you nearly got me killed. You've shamelessly manipulated not only me but the station, the news media, and the entire city of Seattle. What do you have to say for yourself?

Bebe: Aren't you glad I'm on your side?

Yeah, Bebe!

I don't know if there are real Bebes in the world, but wouldn't it be delicious? At least for a little while.

More Bebe on smoking.

That was a really smart-scripted show.

Frasier is our all time favourite show. We have them all on DVD. And I agree that, apart from Niles, Bebe is my favourite character. She's almost sexy in her overbearing, Mephistophelian persona. Some shows fade and grow tired after the third series but Frasier just went on and on as sharp as ever. The only episodes we tend to avoid are the tiresome family of Daphne Moon. I don't know whether it was the script at fault, or the actors, or both.
Yes, and Eddies good to; the whole thing brilliantly casted.
Right. Done. Back to work. As the word verification says CATOMPLA!

You know I saw a picture of a very young Kelsey Grammer and I couldn't get over how much "Niles" looked like him. No wonder he was cast as the brother.

But he was terrific even without the resemblance. The banter was top notch.

LOVED "Frasier" ... clever. And Niles stole the show every moment he was onstage.

Thanks for a great way to start my day.

Hi Daw!

Do you have IE7? That's the one most people are having trouble with. Mike says his comes up now without any prodding, so maybe it needs time to recognize the site.

Glad it's coming up. Thanks for the feedback.

I remember Bebe, something about her being at a party where someone mysteriously died and then Frasier got an in for something. Yes. I so remember her. If you asked me to recall another episode, I couldn't. So interesting I remember that one. Must be the agent envy thing, even way back.

Saw your comment on The Swivet and had to come check things out.

Never watched the show, but I found Bebe interesting just from reading your post. I think breezily self-absorbed or self-centered characters can be very entertaining, maybe because they're usually confident and charismatic to go along with that.
