Facelift: One More Time

I did it again. I found another template that I liked for my blog. I preferred the moodier one I had earlier, but I really hate to read reverse text on black backgrounds. It hurts my eyes.

This one is nice because it has a little navigation bar at the top where you can flip to different pages. Eventually, I'll fill in all the pages with more good material, but for now it's fine.

So what do you think? Does it appear all right on your monitor? Do all the pages work? Is it easy to read?

I like it. Other than the fact that it takes an extra step to post new entries, I can live with this one for a while.

The theme works for the kind of writing I do too. It's a cross between Indiana Jones and Avatar. Consider me your guide on this journey, so sit back and enjoy.

You ain't getting your money back anyway.

Do you like the theme on your blog? How would you describe it? If you're a writer, do you think it reflects your writing style?

Ooo, this is so nice. It reminds me of that thick, heavy creamy bond paper I used to caress in stationery stores. You know, the type you always keep a few sheets of, but never use because that would be desecration. Or something. Maybe I'm outing my stationery fetish a little too openly here! LOL

Wish I could answer the other question, but I don't know what my writing style is! My theme is clean, though, and I like that. Till I get bored.

I think it looks great! And, it loaded up fine. I wish I had more time to play with my blog and website themes... *sigh*.

And that should be about five more minutes. LOL!

Thanks, Kaz. And believe it or not, I do understand your stationery fetish.

I only had to do some minor coding so the pages went to where I wanted it to go and not back to the original web site.

I am not a code monkey, so it REALLY has to be simple.

The time consuming part is finding a template I like.

Your blog looks great, and yes, all the pages up top load nicely. When I started my blog, I chose a simple template and soft colors. Really the only thing I've changed since then is the information in the sidebar from time to time. I haven't taken a look yet at all the great new templates I hear Blogger now has.

I like the look and feel of this new design. Nice!

Have a good day.

Joanne: Just google Blogger templates and you get a whole pile of links.

The first one I tried was beautiful but some people couldn't see it if they used an older browser.

It was all too complicated for me, so I took it down. But so far this one is working. Thanks!

Thanks, Dru!

Hope you have great weather in your part of the country.

I like it! It does have an Indiana Jones type of feel. :)

My blog is pink and purpley with hearts and frilly stuff. That pretty much sums up my writing. LOL!!

Jennifer, that makes you a girly-girl. Me...my ruffles have ridges. LOL.

JK: Well then, it's settled. If JK likes it, I'm keepin' it.

LOL!

Thanks, JK!

I really like this. Definitely easier on the eyes than white text on black. Looks away sheepishly.

I think my blog design reflects both my writing and my personality, so although I'm not crazy about the white text on the black background, I'll leave it. Besides, my talented sister-in-law just completely overhauled it for me.

Renee: Don't get me wrong. I LOVE the look of a moody black background, but for reading purposes--I have to be practical.

Rats. I hate when that happens. :o)

This looks really good, Maria. To answer your question about the message my blog sends - I suppose workmanlike. It just does the job. But then, as my wife would tell you, given half the chance, I'm a very lazy person

Not that lazy. You more than make up for it with your writing.

--throwing out the trash, that's something else. lol.

My blog (as I'm sure you've noticed) doesn't even have a theme. As for your new look...I love it! Elegant and chic, but still keeping with the themes of your work. Perfect choice Madame.

I love that description! It's like wearing hiking boots with silver ribbon for shoelaces.

The moodier one was nice, but yes, difficult to read. This is great, very you :-)

Suzanne: It's a comfy look. And it has a compass. I ALWAYS need a compass. LOL.

Thanks for popping in!
