Christmas Feasts to Savor
How was Christmas?
Ours was quiet, but we were together as a family and that's all that matters. I made Greg's favorite holiday meal. Rib roast.
The day before, we were at a friend's party where she outdid herself with a cornucopia of delights. Ham, shrimp, shredded pork and three tables full of appetizers, finger foods, and desserts.
But did I remember to take a picture? No. I was too busy eating or talking with their dog, Ozzy.
So here's a picture of our Christmas dinner. We had rib roast, scalloped potatoes, peas, brussel sprouts, homemade yeast rolls, and pie. Not to mention all the candy and cookies friends and neighbors dropped off for us. Any perceived diet have hit the skids for the holidays!
If you'd like to share your pictures, leave your blog link and I'll add it to this post. I hope you all had wonderful holidays. Did anyone get anything special this year?

However, Christmas and Thanksgiving were both very wonderful. No complaints and I have my Kindle Fire now so I guess I'll get to see what all the hullaballoo is about :-)
Also i LOLd at Rocket
And I'd be protecting my roast from that raccoon. {grin}
Food looks yummy. You won't ever see me cooking anything so fancy, though. I'm sure to ruin it anyway! :)
Heh, when I first saw the Rocky Raccoon I was a cat and I'm thinking to myself, when did Maria get a cat?
We're still eating on that roast. Second night was leftovers, the third night sandwiches, the fourth night was beef tacos, and tonight I'm going to make Mongolian beef from what's left.
What was nice was that I managed to make different flavors out of the same meat.
It was all so good. I got a lot of meals out of that roast, including breakfast and sandwiches.
I guess I was too overwhelmed to take pictures. :)
Even the cat we used to have knew better than that. He was such a good cat.
We've often thought about getting another cat, but I'm afraid Nana would be too rough with him. She does not play well with others--except maybe Iko.
Scalloped potatoes are sliced potatoes baked in a little heavy cream and milk, with cheese. Very satisfying!

I'm salivating. lol
This year I sweetened them a little and boiled them with a little sugar.
Your spread was absolutely gorgeous!
I'm sure he guarded your food well, hehe. Your feast looks quite delicious!
Re: leftovers
Us too! But it's all good. Tonight, since it's chilly, I'm making French onion soup.
Love the Raccoon, by the way. The little buggers get everywhere when food is involved.
Re: Rocket
What's a feast without a cute mercenary? :)
