I haven't tried freezing grapes to add to drinks, but it does sound like a great delicious idea :)

Boiling water to make clear ice cubes seem a little over the top. I don't study ice cubes in my whisky. Just suck the remnants, clear or not, when the whisky is gone :)

Mike: Boiling water is too much trouble for me too, but some people like the clear cubes for punch and the like.
