Merry Christmas
Wishing all of you a wonderful Christmas.
2024 will bring a change to this blog. It's going dark after today. Somewhere around mid January, I'm moving back to my original blogspot site. If you've been with me a while you might remember it.
I'll post the link here as soon as I know it's operational.
It doesn't cost me anything to run on blogspot, so if I should decide to take a blog vacation for a few weeks I won't feel as if I'm wasting money.
I'll take a couple of weeks off to see if I can transition this blog to my old site. Hopefully Google won't think I'm plagiarizing myself.
It means I'll lose all my pinners from Pinterest, but c'est la vie. In the past I've tried to input code that should seamlessly redirect links to the next site, It worked when I was on Wordpress, but so far it's refused to migrate my test links to the blogspot site. If I lose Pinterest, I lose it. I'm not going to waste anymore sleep over it.
Not too much will change as far as content, though I suspect I'll actually tell more stories (true stories) of life in the boonies.
2023 was expensive for us, and rough on my poor dogs. Odin's eyes are looking great and Nana hasn't had a bout of itchiness since starting the antigen therapy. All's well that ends well. We just had to take a rocky road to get there.
I hope your 2023 wasn't too hard on you. Let's all hope for a brighter 2024.

ps; Sorry I didn't do a sauerkraut post like I promised. I didn't do sauerkraut. After the accident, my hand is still so bad, I don't know that I'll ever even be able to do much of anything with it again. I still can't hold a pen correctly to sign my name let alone shave all that cabbage. The doc tells me about a year and I should be good. I hope so.
Hope you two are having a happy, quiet, relaxing day today.
Here's hoping for a better 2024.
I've hesitated seeing a hand specialist for that very reason. FWIW, I have never held my pen correctly. I'm a lefty taught to be a righty. LOL.
Next year, sauerkraut. This year, at least, Happy Christmas.
Stay well, sweetie.
Re: "a lefty taught to be a righty" ... that was SO common years ago. One of my sisters is SO left-handed she can't do anything with her right hand. My mom got a call once that she wasn't eating snack in kindergarten, and they were concerned. Mom went to school, watched as the handed my sister her spoon into her right hand...my mom reached over, put it in her left hand and she scarfed her food down (guess it never occurred to her to switch hands on her own). My other sister, also left-handed, was forced to learn to write with her right. She's an artist, though, and it's fascinating that, although she writes with her right hand (and does sports, like batting right-handed etc.) she does all her art (painting, sculpting, etc.) left-handed.
Anyway, lol... see you next year!
Good luck with Blogger.
One time, friends and family were playing baseball. I never bothered to join in because I was a terrible player. Greg told me to try hitting with my left, and voila, I was able to hit the ball.
A good friend taught me to crochet. She was right handed, but she taught herself to do it left handed so she could teach me.
For 2024, let's make a deal with our dogs that they not need any more surgeries.
Right now I'm eyeing Jammy the cat. His swallowing is getting worse. He can only muster soupy foods now. Something new for 2024.
Hope Christmas was wonderful for you. Talk to you again next year.
