Mike Keyton

Not a bad cowboy for a Brit!
I'm still busy goat herding and chicken bustin' out on the farm, but I had to come back and make an important announcement for those of you in the writer community.

My good friend and writing confidante, Mike Keyton is seriously ill with a collapsed lung. He's in the hospital now. If his current treatment doesn't work soon, he'll have to undergo surgery.

His wife was kind enough to inform me of the situation and I'm standing in as a go-between for his writing friends. I know some of you know and follow Mike. I'm asking for good wishes and prayers for Mike and his family.

Never doubt the power of healing thoughts and prayer.

Mike is without wifi at his hospital so he has no internet contact except through his wife. If you'd like to add your name and thoughts into the comment stream, I'll make a clipping of it and put it in the card that I'll send him on Tuesday. I'm sure he'd love to hear from you.

If you'd like to follow Mike, here are a few places where you can find him...that is, when he's not stuck in the hospital.

His blog: Record of a Baffled Spirit
Twitter: Baffled Spirit
Facebook: Michael Keyton

Whether you follow Mike or not, leave him a get-well message. Thanks, guys!

Update: Mike is home again after lung surgery. Huzzah! Take your time to recover, buddy. We'll be here whenever you decide to join the gang again.

We've missed you!

We miss your entertaining comments, Mike, and we're all thinking of you. Not in the perverted, strange way; in the "God I hope he feels better soon way."

Big hugs. :)

Mike your comments on blog posts are one of the bright spots that I look forward to reading when you share your particular take with us Yanks, Get Well wishes and best to your family so tell that collapsed lung to get over itself so you can come home soon!

Praying for either treatment to kick in and make things better or if surgery is needed for it to go swiftly well and recovery to be easy.

Oh no, terrible news. I'm atheist, so no prayers :), but best wishes for a speedy recovery sans the scalpel.

[I think it's all due to that Pom cooking (and I use the term advisedly), myself.]

Only just spotted this bad news... really sorry to hear about the hospitalisation, Mike.

Here's hoping you are back on your feet (and writing) very soon.

I trust you are putting the time to good use plotting the next story, which I look forward to critting real soon!

Thinking of you,

A heart-felt - or should that be a lung-felt thank you to everyone of you. I'm fine now. Weak but pissed off and itching to get my life back. Every cloud has a silver lining. I'm banned from lifting heavy objects for 12 weeks, so I sit back while the family whizz around me. Addictive or boring? A novelty at least. Anyway ( what a graceless word ) thank you again, and thank you, Maria
